Sweet Sugar Swirls - by Fig Tree & Co.
Quilt finishes to 63" x 79". Joanna Figueroa, this pattern's designer, writes this about her pattern using the new Sweet Rolls (1 1/2" strips) from Moda: "New rolls and new strip sizes... for me that equals new ideas for traditional patterns! I first spotted these types of blocks in quilts from the early 1800's and quickly fell in love with their fresh and contemporary look. When Moda came out with their newest roll, I knew it was time to whip up a few of these simple strip-pieced stars. Our signature star method doesn't use any templates or "y" seams. Each block is simply strip pieced and assembled as an 8-part star. Don't miss out on these great star blocks that look so much more complicated than they really are. Wonderful in brights, reproduction fabrics, or our Fig Tree fabrics... of course!"
