Strawberry Patches Update


Dear Friends,

Almost daily customers tell us that they come to Strawberry Patches for inspiration and ideas for all kinds of sewing projects. One of my favorite things is to stay current with the latest trends in fashion, quilting and home decor by attending trade shows across the country.

The quilting industry seems to be slowly changing and taking its cues from ready to wear and popular mail order catalogs. Quilting and sewing isn't just for Granny's anymore! Some exciting recent finds have been children's and 'tween prints seemingly lifted from the pages of Pottery Barn catalogs. Large bold floral prints with a bohemian flare, mixed with paisleys and yarn dyed plaids and stripes from designers Amy Butler and Kaffe Fassett capture the look with "in your face" panache. For those of you who like to keep it a little more traditional we have beautiful new florals and reproduction prints arriving almost daily.

It has always been my goal to delight and surprise our customers with what they find at Strawberry Patches. Our fabric offerings are carefully selected and we strive to keep you on the cutting edge with the newest and best the industry has to offer. Our Minkee craze continues with great new colors and textures. Quilting and decorating has become all about texture and we are having such fun combining faux fur, waffle pique, chenille, satin, cotton and velvet. Anything goes and the more texture the better! Embroidery and glitz are huge this season and we have a wide variety of threads and over-the-top glitz to add "ahh" and opulence to your projects. And of course we sell and service the best sewing machines on the market to help you put together the look you want with carefree ease.
